I drew the shape of an igloo and spread some glue. My Three placed the white squares in a surprisingly neat pattern with just a little help from me at the end (when he’d had enough). Not long ago he’d have glued down five squares and called it done. It’s so fun to see the progress he’s made!

I printed our giant letter I and printed it again on construction paper. I cut apart the pieces to make a puzzle, and he put them together. He’s not ready for handwriting pages yet, so we do these kinds of activities to strengthen his fine motor skills and reinforce the shape of the letter.
For a whole alphabet activity, I printed this letter find page. He covered the letters with clear plastic counters. Those were a recent purchase, and I love them! It’s awesome that you can see through them because it’s easy for him to to check his work. He liked naming the letters as he hunted for the i’s.
And this was our letter I sensory fun. I just recycled our gardening bin from letter G week and threw in a magnifying glass, a bug catcher, and some plastic insects. He had fun digging around.
Finally, we did this name activity from Teach Preschool. Harder paper puzzles frustrate my Three, so this was perfect!
